Dear Me

Located in Longmarket Street, in Cape Town’s City Bowl, Dear Me is one of Cape Town’s newer delightful additions to the upmarket restaurant scene.

Described as an ‘all day brasserie’, Dear Me is already a hot favourite with foodies, thanks in part to its dedication to artisanal principles and passionate chef, Vanessa Marx. Taking her cue from nature, Vanessa’s experience and talent result in a small, ever-changing menu of sublime dishes such as the current offerings on the April menu; roast vanilla scented spatchcock quail; fillet of Chalmar beef, fried duck egg, fat chips and béarnaise; panfried dusky kob, caper cream, baby nicola potatoes, fine beans and slow braised free-range oxtail, gluwein poached baby pears, mash and autumn greens.

Dear Me is also one of the most stylishly decorated venues in Cape Town, following modern design principles with quirky undertones in some areas of the unique layout. From a deli style breakfast section through to the chic lunch area, Dear Me surprises its patrons with a different ambience around every corner.
